CARBONDALE, Ill.-- The Shockers' final Missouri Valley Conference road series against Southern Illinois was canceled after extreme winds caused damage to Martin Field.

Extreme storm winds rendered the field unplayable. The series against the Salukis will not be rescheduled. 

Wichita State (24-24, 8-7) will be in action again on Thursday when the Shockers open up their three-game series with Creighton (28-19, 14-4) at Eck Stadium home of Tyler Field.
