WICHITA, Kan. ? The Wichita State baseball team is ranked 35th in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association preseason poll.

It is the second preseason poll that has the Shockers ranked. WSU was ranked 36th in the Collegiate Baseball preseason poll released on Dec. 22.

The Shockers return 14 lettermen and two starters to a team that went 48-17 in 2008. Wichita State opens the season on Feb. 20 against Temple in Fort Myers, Fla.
