WICHITA, Kan. ? The Wichita State baseball team is ranked 10th in the USA Today/ESPN preseason coaches poll announced on Jan. 25. It is the seventh preseason poll that the Shockers have been ranked in. The others include ninth by Collegiate Baseball, 20th by Baseball America, 12th by PingBaseball.com, 18th by Rivals.com, 10th by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and 12th by PG Crosschecker.

The Shockers return 18 lettermen and six starters to a team that went 53-22 in 2007. Wichita State opens the season on Feb. 22 against Fordham.
