On playing at Eck Stadium:
“They (the players) love it. This is a great stadium and a great venue for college baseball. We're really excited about coming out here and seeing the home team crowd.”

Concerns going into Game 1:
“Their (Wichita State) speed. They've stolen 122 bases, which is a fair amount, and it comes from five or six different people. Up and down their lineup they can hurt you with their legs so we've got to eliminate the free passes. We can't give them walks and we can't make errors because if we do, those are going to turn into runs.”

Pitcher Bryan Cryer

On New Orleans pitching staff:
“I believe we really are under appreciated. Our numbers are definitely misleading. I believe our pitchers can throw against any hitters, on any team, and we're going to do well. We know our hitters are going to pick us up.”

On run support:
“We've got tremendous run support, the guys have been swinging the sticks well all year. There have been occasions where we've given up eight runs in an inning or two and then come back around and score 10 in the next one or two innings, it's just unbelievable.”

General comments:
“I really don't think we have anything to prove, we've been proving it all year. We just need to come out and do the same thing. I hope that they have a big crowd here tomorrow night and we're just going to feed off of that and have some intensity and enthusiasm going into this game and I believe we're going to come out on top.”
