MANHATTAN, Kan. - Wichita State improved to 5-1 on the year with a sweep of Lipscomb at the Varney's Kansas State Invitational. The Shockers won by scores of 30-23, 30-15 and 30-18.

Sara Lungren tied her career-high with 19 kills and also added 11 digs and hit .545, while Abby Harsh had four kills and 40 assists.

Melissa Granville had a team-high 13 digs for the Shockers, while Angela Jakubov had nine kills on 18 swings.

The Shockers out hit the Lady Bisons .345 to .067. WSU also had 11 service aces in the match, three by Kelly Broussard.

The Lady Bisons were led by Car Wilber's nine kills.

The Shockers finish the tournament with a match against Montana State at 6 p.m.
