NORMAL, Ill. -Wichita State earned its 10th win of the season with a sweep of Illinois State (4-6, 0-1). The Shockers (10-2, 2-0) won by scores of 30-27, 30-18 and 30-25.

Abby Harsh led the Shockers with 37 assists and 13 digs, while Amanda Moore led the team in kills with 10, while hitting .438. Sara Lungren added nine kills and 11 digs, while Angela Jakubov had eight kills and six digs and Stephanie Tokarz had seven kills and four blocks.

The teams raced out to an 11-11 tie in game one before the Redbirds grabbed an 18-16 lead on a block by Kari Staehlin. Both teams traded points late in the game until ILS took a 25-23 lead. The Shockers tied it back up at 25 on a kill by Stephanie Tokarz and took the lead 26-25 on a Redbird ball handling error. A kill by Abby Harsh gave the Shockers a two-point advantage at 27-25 before ILS responded with a kill to cut it to 27-26. Back-to-back kills by Angela Jakubov gave the Shockers a 29-26 lead and WSU won the game 30-27 on a setting error by the Redbirds.

The Shockers grabbed an early 8-4 lead in game two on a service ace by Jakubov and increased it to 12-7 on a kill by Amanda Moore. WSU opened up the game going up 21-12 on a service ace by Kelly Broussard and won game two 30-18 on a kill by Sara Lungren.

A 4-0 run by ILS tied game three at seven before the Shockers went on a 4-0 run to take a 14-9 lead. WSU increased the lead to 21-14 on a kill by Tokarz and won the game 30-25 on a kill by Moore.
