Box Score OMAHA, Neb. ? The Shockers won their 20th-straight Missouri Valley Conference regular-season road match with a sweep at Creighton. WSU (24-5, 14-2) won by scores of 32-30, 30-26 and 30-20.
Sara Lungren and Stephanie Tokarz both had 12 kills each for the Shockers, while Lungren added 11 digs. Angela Jakubov had 10 kills, 10 digs and six blocks, while hitting .345 in the match. Abby Harsh had a team-high 33 assists and added 13 digs and five blocks, while Kelly Broussard had 20 digs.
Kelly Goc led the Bluejays with 15 kills.
The Shockers took an early 4-1 lead in game one with two kills by Sara Lungren, but CU came back to tie it at six with a kill by Jessica Houts. The teams went back-and-forth until the Bluejays grabbed a 12-9 lead on a kill by Abby Baumann. A Shocker hitting error gave CU a 19-15 lead, but a Bluejay hitting error gave the Shockers a tie at 22. A service ace by Angela Jakubov gave the Shockers their first lead since early in the game at 25-24, but CU scored two-straight to regain a 26-25 lead. Tied at 28, a kill by Kelly Goc gave CU a 29-28 lead, but a kill by Stephanie Tokarz tied it at 29. WSU finally won the game 32-30 on a kill by Jakubov.
In game two, the Bluejays jumped out to a 10-6 advantage before the Shockers went on a 3-0 run to pull within 10-9. WSU tied it at 11 on a CU hitting error and the game continued to go back-and-forth until a Jakubov kill gave the Shockers a 19-16 lead. Behind the serving of Abby Harsh, WSU increased the lead to 22-16 before CU pulled to within 28-26 on a kill by Houts. WSU won game two 30-26 on a Bluejay hitting error.
A Sara Lungren kill put the Shockers up 12-7 in game three and a Shocker block increased the lead to 19-12. WSU continued to lead and reached match point at 29-21 on a kill by Katie Niggemeyer. A Tokarz kill gave the Shockers a 30-20 win in the third game.
