Breanne Borman is in ninth place after the first day and first four events with 3,268 points in the women's Heptathlon Wednesday at
the 2016 Nike Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays.

Marteshia Caines is 20th with 3,096 points heading into the final three events – long jump, javelin, and 800 meters – on Thursday morning.
All three Shocker competitors had personal bests in the 100 meter hurdles and the 200 meters on Wednesday.
Borman ran a 14.09 in the 100 meter hurdles, while Yetter ran 14.19 and Caines ran 14.08. In the 200 meters, Yetter ran 25.17, Borman ran 25.19, and Caines ran 25.45.

In the heptathlon, an event which has been dominated by Arkansas, the Razorbacks' Taliyah Brooks leads after the first day. She is joined by three of her teammates to round out the top four, while five Arkansas competitors sit inside the top seven after the first day. Brooks, who has 3,561 points after four events, leads her Arkansas teammate Alex Gochenour by just 38 points. Arkansas' Payton Stumbaugh sits just 44 points off the lead.
The second day of competition at the 2016 Nike Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays begins on Thursday at Mike A. Myers Stadium. The decathlon will resume at 10:00 am to kickoff a full day of action in Austin. Longhorn Network will provide coverage beginning at 4:30 pm with the conclusion of both the decathlon and heptathlon, while live coverage of the 400m hurdle prelims and long distance running will begin at 6:00 pm.
