WICHITA, Kan. – For the 13
th season in a row, the Wichita State women's tennis team is in the ITA/Oracle Team Rankings, coming in at No. 36.

Colin Foster, in his 10
th season as the head coach, has guided his teams to a Team Ranking in every year at the helm, peaking at No. 13 in the 2015-16 season.

The Shockers are off to a 7-4 record in the spring, and have won six matches in a row after starting the season 1-4.

WSU holds wins over Middle Tennessee (4-1), UT-Arlington (5-1), Lousiville (4-1), Nebraska (4-1), Creighton (4-0), No. 39 SMU (4-3) and Cincinnati (4-2). Their four losses came to Baylor, No. 11 Kansas, Missouri, and Houston.

Individually, lone senior
Sandra Honigova leads the Shockers with an 7-3 dual record in the top flight. A native of Brno, Czech Republic, Honigova has reeled off seven wins in a row. Elsewhere, newcomer
Esther Thebault is 5-4 in the second flight and
Sarvinoz Saidhujaeva is 4-2 mainly in the fifth slot.

WSU has been very strong in doubles play, clinching the doubles point in nine of the 11 possible matches.
Ting-Ya Hsu and
LingWei Kong are 6-1 on court three, while
Marta Bellucco and Honigova are 5-2 on court two and Saidhujaeva and Thebault sport a 5-3 record in the top spot.

The Shockers take a week off before traveling to Manhattan, Kan. to take on the 37
th-ranked Kansas State Wildcats next Thursday, March 7.
