THIS WEEK IN SHOCKER HISTORY
Nov. 13-19

Nov. 13, 1954 - The Shockers defeat No. 12 Cincinnati 12-0 in front of 20,000 fans at Nippert Stadium. Jack Conway's 4-yard run gives the Shockers a 7-0 lead in the second quarter. In the fourth quarter, Conway intercepts a pass and the turnover leads to a touchdown on a 7-yard run off a double reverse by Frank Brannen. The win ends Cincinnati's 16-game win streak and the Shockers improve to 7-1 under coach Jack Mitchell.

Nov. 13, 2012 - The Shockers avenge an NCAA Tournament loss from the previous year with a 53-51 win at VCU. Malcolm Armstead delivers the game-winner -- a 17-foot jumper with 3.8 seconds to play.

Nov. 15, 2008 - No. 11 Wichita State defeats UNI 3-0 in Cedar Falls to improve to 28-0, 17-0 in the Missouri Valley Conference. Emily Stockman leads the Shockers with 15 kills.

Nov. 16, 2016 - Wichita State defeats Tulsa 80-53, its most lopsided win over the Hurricane in 44 years. Markis McDuffie scores a career-high 18 points to lead the Shockers. The 27-point margin is the largest Shocker win in the series since a 92-60 victory on Jan. 29, 1972.

Nov. 17, 2007 - Setter Abby Harsh records 51 assists in a 3-0 win at Bradley, second on the school's single-game list for three sets.

Nov. 19, 1999 - Jason Perez scores 30 points in a 72-52 win over McNeese State at Levitt Arena to become the fourth different Shocker to score 30 points in a season-opener. Perez scores 20 of his 30 points before halftime and finishes 11-of-19 from the field.

Nov. 19, 1960 - The Shockers claim the Missouri Valley Conference title with a 34-6 win over North Texas State on homecoming in front of 10,454 fans. Halfback Willie Mallory scores on a 2-yard run and a 93-yard kickoff return for the Shockers, who improve to 7-2.
