The following weekend, Aug. 31-Sept. 1, the Shockers travel to Provo, Utah, for the BYU Invitational. The Shockers will square off with 2017 NIVC Final Four participant West Virginia on Aug. 31 and follow that up with a match against 2017 NCAA Tournament Final Four participant Stanford on Sept. 1. WSU wraps up the tournament with host and 2017 NCAA Tourney team BYU on Sept. 1.

On Sept. 8-9, the Shockers will travel to Omaha, Neb., for the Bluejay Invitational. WSU will play two 2017 NCAA Tourney teams in Iowa State (Sept. 8) and host Creighton (Sept. 9).

WSU wraps up tournament play on Sept. 14-15 with the North Texas Challenge. The Shockers will face Stephen F. Austin and host North Texas, both 2017 NIVC participants, on Sept. 14 and will take on 2017 NCAA Tourney team Cal Poly on Sept. 15.

The Shockers open the home portion of the schedule along with American play on Sept. 21 against Tulane.

Other 2017 NIVC participants on WSU's schedule are UCF (Oct. 7), SMU (Oct. 19 and Nov. 11) and Temple (Oct. 28 and Nov. 16).

WSU wraps up the 2018 regular-season on Nov. 24 with a non-conference home match against North Texas, who played in the 2017 NIVC.

In 2017, WSU finished first in the Shocker record books in average attendance (3,401) and finished seventh nationally in average attendance. WSU also set the school record for match attendance with 7,258 against Missouri on Dec. 2 and 7,257 against Radford on Dec. 1.
