PROVIDENCE, R.I. - After her record breaking performance in the American Athletic Conference Championship, Taryn Torgerson has been named to the All-Conference Team it was announced on Wednesday.

The senior from Buhler, Kan., broke the Shocker career low-18 and championship record low-18 with her 8-under 64 to tie for first position before winning the title with a birdie on the playoff hole.

With her three wins on the season, including eight top-10 finishes, Torgerson shattered her own Wichita State records she set last season for season stroke average and 54-hole average. She also took control of the career stroke average record by two full strokes to establish herself as the most dominant golfer in Wichita State women's golf history. 

The All-Conference Team is comprised of the top 10 Golfstat nationally-ranked players in the conference in addition to student-athletes who placed in the top seven at the conference championship and were not otherwise in the top 10. Individual accolades will be announced on Friday, April 20.

Torgerson will now wait two weeks before the NCAA Selection Show to determine whether she earns an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in her career. The selection show on Wednesday, April 25, at 4:30 p.m. CT will be broadcast live on the Golf Channel with the NCAA Championship culminating at Karsten Creek Golf Club in Stillwater, Okla., May 18-23.
