WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State used a dominating performance from its pitching staff for a 3-1 win over Furman and a three-game series sweep.
Luke Ritter went 2-for-4 with a RBI and a home run, while
Alec Bohm went 1-for-3 with a RBI.
Starter
Tommy Barnhouse went four innings and gave up one unearned run on two hits with no walks and a career-high eight strikeouts.
The Paladins took their first lead of the series in the third inning. With one out, Dillon Love reached on a Shocker error, advanced to second on a single from Jabari Richards and to third on a single by Ben Anderson. Bret Huebner's groundout scored Love to give Furman a 1-0 lead.
The Shockers answered in the bottom of the third.

Alec Bohm drew a bases loaded walk to tie the score at one. Ritter scored on a double play ball to put the Shockers in front 2-1.
Ritter's home run in the eighth gave WSU a 3-1 lead.
The Shockers are next in action on Tue., March 27 at Central Arkansas at 6 p.m.
