TUCSON, Ariz. - The Wichita State women's golf team is tied for third position through two rounds of the Mountain View Invite with 
Laine Evans and 
Michelle Ledermann both inside the top-10 individually.
Evans carded a 2-over 74 in round one but followed up with a 2-under 70 in round two to lead the Shockers through two rounds tied for fifth. Evans enters the final round with 144, just a single stroke ahead of Ledermann who finished the two rounds at 145. Ledermann shot 73 and 72 through each round and is on course for her highest finish as a Shocker.
Abbi Shaddix is a further five strokes behind Ledermann with 150 after carding 72 and 78, good for tied for 22nd. 
Annika Chickering rounds out the Shocker lineup in tied for 63rd with 159 after 
Taryn Torgerson withdrew from the competition after round one. 
As a team the Shockers are third and only three strokes behind tournament leaders Kansas who enter the final round with 589. San Jose State is second with 591, while Wichita State, Central Arkansas and Illinois all tied for third at 592. 
Round three will wrap up the tournament tomorrow with tee times beginning at 8:00 a.m. MT.
