LINCOLN, Neb. – The Shockers wrapped up the regular season Friday evening at the Nebraska Tune-Up.
Twenty-five Shocker student-athletes competed Friday, including six that either equaled or set personal best marks. With only a select few athletes competing in the meet, many of the top athletes had the week off in preparation for the American Athletic Conference meet on Feb. 23-24 in Birmingham, Ala.
"We went to Nebraska to allow our athletes an opportunity for a final tune-up one week before our conference championship," head track and field director
Steve Rainbolt said. "We left a lot of our athletes home in order to train and rest. The decision to compete at this meet or not was between each of the athletes and their event area coach."
