Much of Tulsa's offense goes through forward Junior Etou, who averages 16.2 points and 6.9 rebounds. Etou struggled the past two games, both losses.

Memphis held him to 12 points on 3-of-10 shooting a week ago. On Thursday, Etou scored two points, missing all six of his shots, in a 104-71 loss at Houston.

Keeping Etou off the line will be key for the Shockers. He has attempted 121 foul shots and has attempted 10 or more four times. The Hurricane lead the American by attempting 432 foul shots and their 72.7 percent accuracy ranks fifth.

With Etou slumping, the Hurricane rank 11th in the American in two-point shooting accuracy at 42.3 percent, according to kenpom.com.

Sophomore forward Martins Igbanu averaged 15.6 points in American games and scored a career-high 27 at Houston.

Tulsa ranks second in the American in rebound margin at plus-8.5. In American. It has outscored each American opponent in second-chance points.

Tulsa plays zone defense and the Cougars found every opening to make an American-record 18 three-pointers (on 34 attempts. Houston made 13 of 18 in the first half to build a 59-34 lead. Tulsa ranks 12th in the American in block percentage (3.3) in conference play and 11th in steal percentage (7.6).

The Shockers come to Tulsa with their offense running at high gear. They totaled 78 assists and 31 turnovers in wins over Houston, South Florida and East Carolina. Wichita State is 33 of 69 (47.8 percent) from three-point range in those games.

However, the Shockers took over Thursday's 95-60 win at ECU when they passed the ball into the lane. They finished with 32 assists on 38 baskets.

Former Shocker Corey Henderson Jr. averages 8.6 points for Tulsa. He has made 33 of 91 threes (36.3 percent). Henderson, from Dallas, played in 28 games at Wichita State in 2014-15 before transferring to Blinn (Texas) College for one season.
