ESU Results
WICHITA, Kan. -- Wichita State athletes won eight titles at the Emporia State Relays, while two Shockers had top 10 finishes at the Texas Relays on Saturday.
At Texas,
Zach Loesch was eighth in the shot put with a throw of 55-2.75/16.83m, while
Tyra Bickham was sixth in the B-Section of the discus with a personal best WSU throw of 158-10/48.41m.
In Emporia,
Taylor Larch-Miller won the 100 meters (11.98) and the 100 meter hurdles (13.6). She also helped the 4x100 meter relay to a first-place time of 45.61.
In addition,
Nikki Larch-Miller won the 200 meters in a time of 24.19, and also ran a leg of the 4x100 meters. Nikki also finished second in the 100 meter hurdles (13.72), while Taylor was second in the 200 meters (24.34).
Other women's champions were
Emilea Finley in the 3,000 meters (9:58.80), and
Claudia Rojo in the 400 meter hurdles (1:02.99).
For the men,
Garret Lynch won the high jump with a height of 6-11/2.11m.
Austin Chippeaux was second at 6-8.75/2.05m.
In the 5,000 meters,
Gage Garcia won with a personal best time of 14.38.
