LINCOLN, Neb. - The men's tennis team defeated Toledo 6-1 this morning at the Dillon Tennis Center.

The Shockers (9-7) captured the doubles point with a pair of 6-3 wins. Marius Frosa and Murkel Dellien defeated Juan Carranza and Reid Teatsorth in the second flight, while Miroslav Herzan and Jan Poboril beat Thawin Suksathaporn and Luka Vitosevic. Vince Anzalone and Serjen Olmedo were leading Jocelyn Devilliers and Eddie Stoica 5-4 in the top flight, but went unfinished.

Toledo (9-7) grabbed their lone point in the top singles flight, as Stjepan Sisko defeated Herzan 6-4, 6-4. Devilliers halted a four-match losing streak, beating Anzalone 6-2, 6-4 in the second flight. Frosa earned his 10th singles win in a tough battle with Vitosevic in the third flight 4-6, 6-2, 10-8. Frosa is the fourth Shocker to reach double-digit singles wins this season. Stoica handled Olmedo 6-0, 6-1 in the fourth flight, and Dellien defeated Teatsorth 6-4, 6-3 in the fifth. Jan Poboril picked up his third win in as many matches since joining WSU, getting a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Suksathaporn in the sixth flight.

WSU went 2-1 over the weekend, beating UMKC 6-1 on Friday, and losing 2-5 to Nebraska on Saturday. The Shockers have now won five of their last seven matches.
