PHOENIX, Ariz. – Conrad Walcher leads the Shockers through two rounds at the Grand Canyon University Invite with Wichita State sitting tied for eighth after day one.

Walcher shot a team best 70 after the first 18 holes on the par-71 Antelope Golf Course to sit tied for 17th individually. The junior from Oklahoma City, Okla., carded 71 in the second round to finish day one with 141, good for 1-under par.

Yannik Emmert finished the day two strokes behind after finishing tied for 26th with 143. Emmert carded 71 and 72 through the two rounds.

Jacob Bishop shot 72 and 75 to finish with 147 and tied for 56th. Max Mason finished a stroke behind at 148 behind two rounds of 74 to end day one tied for 60th.

Gage Ihrig rounded out the Shocker five with 151 behind 80 and 71 and tied for 75th individually.

Duke sits atop the leaderboard through two rounds after carding a tournament best 269 in round two. The Blue Devils finished day one at 556 and 12-under par. Eastern Michigan finished day one in second with 559 with tournament host Grand Canyon in third with 562.

The third and final round will wrap up the tournament tomorrow with play beginning at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start.
