WICHITA, Kan. – The Wichita State men's golf team opens its 2017 season this week as they travel to Rancho Santa Fe, Calif., to play in The PRO Compression Invitational hosted by the University of San Diego at The Farms Golf Club.
 
This will be the first time the Shockers have taken part in the tournament and also the first time they've opened their spring schedule in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif., as they join 11 other universities for the two-day event.

Play will open on Monday, Feb. 13th with 36 holes beginning at 8:15 a.m. local time with a shotgun start. On Tuesday, Feb. 14th play will begin between 8:00 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. on holes No. 1-10.
 
The par 72, 6,947 yard course has previously been host to the 2011 & 2015 NCAA Regionals as well as USGA qualifiers for the US Amateur, US Open and San Diego Cup matches.
