WICHITA, Kan. - Team Tuliamuk finished with 177 points to win the 11th annual Intrasquad meet Friday afternoon at the Heskett Center in Wichita, Kan.
Team Tuliamuk (yellow team) won it's eighth championship, including the last four of five years. The Todd Squad (white team) finished second with 147.5 points, Team Tupuritis (black team) placed third with 131.5 points and the AfterShocks (gray team) finished in fourth with 77 points. Team Tuliamuk won ten of 31 events, including six field events and four running events.
Alex Adams set a personal best 16.93m/55-6.5 to win the weight throw, freshman
Jaden Damon won the long jump with a mark of 5.55m/18-2.5,
Jake Horsch ran a personal best 1:22.31 in the 600m to finish first and
Denvoir Griffin clocked in a personal best 6.88 to win the 60m.
Hunter Veith won the long jump (7.58m/24-10.5) and 60m hurdles (8.16).
The Todd Squad swept the women's pole vault finishing in top three,
Alesa Frey set an indoor personal best 3.93m/12-10.75 to win the event. Freshman
Margaux Thompson placed secod with a height of 3.63m/11-10.75 and
Alyssa Wheeler placed third with a mark of 3.48m/11-5.
Team Tupuritis had top two finishers in the women's 150m,
Deja Young won the event with a time of 18.56 and
Taniyah McMillian finished second in 18.58. Team Tupuritis won the men's and women's 3000m, on the men's side
Zack Penrod ran 8:43.11 to finish first and Freshman
Winny Koskei won the women's in a time of 10:11.51.
