NICEVILLE, Fla. -- The Wichita State men's tennis team finished day one at the USA F36 Pro Circuit event in Niceville, Fla. with two victories.
 
The Shockers had four student-athletes compete in the circuit, with senior 
Miroslav Herzan and junior 
Eddie Stoica punching their tickets to the next round of the qualifying draw tomorrow, as well as junior 
Haru Inoue who had a bye in the first round.
 
Herzan went up against Austin Hoole of Canada and won handily, 6-3, 6-3. He will compete in the round of 64 tomorrow.
 
Sophomore 
Andrea Caligiana went head-to-head with Rohit Navelkar (USA) Friday afternoon. In a three-set match, Navelkar came out victorious, 6-7(4), 6-4, 6-4.
 
Junior 
Eddie Stoica earned the second victory of the day for WSU, defeating Hussein Elalami(USA) in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3.
 
Sophomore 
Murkel Dellien took on Lukas Storck of Germany in the first round of play. Dellien was defeated in straight sets, 6-1, 6-4.
 
Junior 
Haru Inoue, who is the No. 5 seed in the 128-man draw, received a bye in the first round. Inoue, who ranks No. 1110 in ITF, will take be in action tomorrow with a spot in the round of 32 on the line.
 
The qualifying draw will be updated later this evening, and matchups will be announced.
