WICHITA, Kan. – Head Wichita State men's golf coach Grier Jones has revealed three athletes signed to National Letters of Intent to complete the fall signing period.
"All three are great players," said Jones. "Not only are they talented athletes, but they're exceptional kids from good families and I expect them all to contribute to this team early."
Brock Polhill | Edmond, Okla. | Edmond North HS
Brock Polhill has taken home medalist honors at the Optimist Tournament of the Champions in 2016 and the OJGT Kickingbird Championship and Red River Challenge in 2017. The Edmond, Okla., native lettered in golf, basketball and baseball at Edmond North HS, earning All-Conference honors in 2016 and 2017, finishing third at the 6A State Championship in 2017. Polhill also earned the All-City Prep Sports Award in 2017, awarded for outstanding high school athletic achievements.
Dawson Lewis | Flower Mound, Texas | Marcus HS
Dawson Lewis, a native of Flower Mound, Texas, won both the Texas Oklahoma Junior Championship and HJGT National Championship in 2016 and won the District Championship and TJGT DFW Major Championship in 2017. Lewis finished runner-up at both the Lone Star Junior Championship and TJGT Holiday Classic Barton Creek Championship in 2016 before finishing as runner-up at the Regional Championship in 2017. He also competed in both the Veritex Texas State Open Qualifier and Texas Cup, finishing fourth in the latter this year.
Grayson Wallace | Guymon, Okla. | Guymon HS
A Guymon, Okla., native Grayson Wallace was a four-year and three-year letterman in golf and basketball at Guymon High School, finishing in the top five and top 10 at the 5A State Championship in 2016 and 2017. Wallace earned three medalist honors during 2017, finished third at the AJGA Junior Championship and won two events on the OJGT Tour.
