WICHITA, Kan. – The Wichita State women's golf team journey south to the Bob Hurley ORU Shootout in Tulsa, Okla., Sept. 26-27 as they look to improve on an opening tournament 11th place finish.
 
This is the fourth time the women have participated in the ORU Shootout (08-09, 09-10, 13-14, 16-17), and the first since a 9th place finish in the 2013-2014 season.
 
The 18-strong tournament field, led by hosts Oral Roberts University, will play 36 holes on Monday Sept. 26 beginning at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start. The final round on Tuesday 27th Sept. will also begin at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start.
 
The women with the lowest four individual scores will determine the team scores for each round.
 
Held at the par-71, 6,013-yard Meadowbrook Country Club, the tournament will feature teams from across the country such as Arkansas State, Drake, Grand Canyon, Oklahoma City, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, UTEP and Utah Valley amongst others.
 
The ORU Shootout begins a three-week tournament stint for the Shockers as they travel Sept. 26-27 to Tulsa, Okla., Oct. 3-4 to Cape Girardeau, Mo., and to Pinehurst, N.C., on Oct. 10-11.
