DALLAS, Texas – The Wichita State women's golf team finished in seventh place at the Oral Roberts University/Stephen F. Austin Spring Break Invitational on Tuesday, March 15, at Trophy Country Club. The team carded scores of 303-305-299 for a total of 907.

Taryn Torgerson had the best tournament of her career, shooting 74-71-72 for a career-best total of 217. That score ties Torgerson for the fourth-best score in program history at a 54-hole tournament. Torgerson finished in third place, the highest finish of her career and her second career top-10 finish.

Gavrilla Arya finished tied for 36th place. Arya shot 75-78-76 for a total of 229.

Maria Alejandra Villalobos finished tied for 45th place after shooting 75-80-76 for a total of 231.

Abbi Shaddix finished tied for 59th place in her first competition as a Shocker. Shaddix shot 79-81-75 for a total of 235.

Samantha Stewart tied for 65th place after shooting 79-76-81 for a total of 236.

Wichita State will travel to Maumelle, Arkansas on March 28-29 to compete in the UALR Invitational.
