PATTERSON, La. - The Wichita State men's golf team is in fourth place after carding a 293 on the first day of the Atchafalaya Intercollegiate. Only one round was played today, as play was postponed due to inclement weather. The tournament has been adjusted to two rounds instead of three total because of the rain.

Grant Bennett, Yannik Emmert and Max Mason are both tied for 16th place after shooting a 73 in the first round, good for +1 over par.

Jacob Bishop and Alec Heinen are tied for 24th after shooting a 74, putting them +2 strokes over par.

Conrad Walcher is competing as an individual at the Intercollegiate. Walcher is tied for sixth after shooting a 71 to put him -1 under par.
Tomorrow's round will start at 8 a.m. in an effort to avoid further weather delays. There is a 100% chance of rain in Patterson tomorrow.
