RESULTS

HUNTINGTON, W. Va. – Wichita State men's golf finished in 3^rd place at the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational. The Shockers shot an 844 over the 54-hole competition at Guyan Golf and Country Club.
 
Junior Grant Bennett led the Shockers with a -6 under par, shooting 67-69-71 for a total of 207 at the Invitational. Bennett finished tied for 8^th place. Bennett set a new career-best for lowest tournament score by a stroke, and tied his best career low round score. This was also Bennett's 10^th time finishing in the top ten of a tournament.
 
Sophomore Jacob Bishop tied for 20^th after shooting a 212 at the tournament. Bishop's 75-68-69 put him at -1 under par at the Invitational. This is Bishop's third top-20 finish in his career. Bishop shot a career-best tournament by two strokes, and tied his career-best for a low round score.
 
Junior Max Mason finished tied for 28^th, shooting 72-74-68 to finish with a score of 214, good for +1 over par. Mason's third round score is the lowest round he has shot in his career. His 214 tournament score topped his previous career-best score of 226.
 
Sophomore Conrad Walcher tied for 49^th place, shooting 70-74-73 for a total of 217 to put him at +4 over par. Walcher's tournament score is a new career-best.
 
Junior Gage Ihrig shot scores of 69-76-73 for a total of 218. Ihrig finished +5 over par, making him tied for 54^th place.
 
Senior Alec Heinen competed as an individual. Heinen was tied for 23^rd place after shooting 73-70-70 for a total of 213, putting him even with par and tying his career-best for tournament score.
