From 1925-1928, Harold Davis won four basketball letters, two tennis letters and a football letter. He was captain of the 1926 basketball squad after an outstanding freshman season. "Davey," as he was nicknamed, paced the 1925 team in scoring. He, along with charter inductees Ross McBurney and Buddy Reynolds, led the 1927 University of Wichita squad to a third place finish in the National AAU tournament in Kansas City. After his playing career at the University of Wichita, Davis was player-coach of the Wichita Henry¹s second place AAU team in 1929 and a member of the Champion Wichita Henry¹s team in 1930 and 1931. In 1944, he was the City Table Tennis champion and in 1945 was a member of the City Doubles Tennis champions. His 1928 team at the University of Wichita was the first college team to fly to an away basketball game (they flew to Fort Hays). Inducted, 1982.
