WICHITA, Kan. — Wichita State women's tennis coach, Colin Foster announced the signing of Marija Mastilovic to a National Letter of Intent.

"Marija is someone who was under the radar a bit," Foster said. "She didn't play a bunch of international competition, but her strong national results speak for themselves."

Mastilovic has accomplished big things on the junior circuit, spending all of 2014 at No. 1 in Serbia's U18 National Rankings. During that run, she captured the Serbian National title, as well as the U18 Serbian Masters (a competition featuring the country's top-eight players) without dropping a set. In 2012, she won both the U16 and U18 Belgrade Masters titles in the same year.

"Most importantly, when I met her, her coach, and her family, I quickly recognized that Marija has the desire, work ethic, and character that will fit in well with our program," Foster said. "Additionally, with over half of our current team in their senior year, Marija's age (she turns 20 in January), experience, and maturity will be a valuable asset to a young team. We are thrilled she chose Wichita State."
